Mapping

Mapping PromoConnect North Carolina offers a wide array of maps to help you better understand the comprehensive broadband landscape.

Broadband Stimulus Eligibility of Rural and Remote Areas

This is a statewide map displaying rural and remote areas as defined in the Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) for Broadband Initiatives Program (BIP) and Broadband Technology Opportunities Program (BTOP).

Interactive Map

Connect North Carolina's online, interactive Broadband Inventory Map allows users to create customized views of broadband infrastructure across the state. The link below contains a very large amount of data, and a broadband connection is recommended for viewing.

Availability Maps

This is a highly detailed map displaying broadband availability across the state, as well as cities, county boundaries, road information, national and state lands, and water features. Connect North Carolina, in conjunction with North Carolina's broadband providers, worked together to create broadband availability maps, current as of August 6, 2009.

County Maps

Each county broadband inventory map illustrates broadband service available at a county level of detail. There are also maps that illustrate, at a county level, the potential number of subscribers per square mile and the number of households in the areas where broadband is not available.
